Distributing fresh truffles is much more than delivering a delicate product on time. It means taking care of every detail — from sourcing to final packaging — to ensure it reaches the customer in perfect condition. At Laumont, truffle specialists, we work every day with one clear goal: to offer fresh truffles with quality assurance, service continuity, and food safety.
Quality guaranteed from the source
Every truffle that leaves our facilities undergoes a rigorous quality control process. First, it passes through metal and impurity detectors to ensure it contains no foreign material. Then, it's carefully washed to remove any soil and arrive clean and ready for the kitchen.
We use a grading system that classifies truffles by shape, size, and ripeness. This allows us to offer different quality levels depending on each customer’s needs. Ultimately, our experts make the final decision: the nose and hands of those who have worked with truffles for years select the best pieces to ship.
Daily shipments throughout the season
We deliver fresh truffles daily during the harvest season. We cover the main varieties and harvest periods:
- Black truffle (Tuber melanosporum): November to March
- Summer truffle (Tuber aestivum): April to August
- Autumn truffle (Tuber uncinatum): September to November
- White truffle (Tuber magnatum): October to December
100% of the black truffle we sell in winter is Spanish, collected by our extensive network of truffle hunters across the country.
There is no minimum order requirement. We adapt to each customer's needs. However, during times of low availability — such as the start or end of the season — we may prioritize loyal customers.
Food safety at every stage
Each truffle type has its ideal handling. For example, black truffle is vacuum-packed and shipped with ice in special packaging to preserve the cold chain. Depending on the destination and delivery time, we adjust every packaging detail.
We also include all necessary documentation: technical sheets, origin certificates, full traceability, and active tracking to anticipate any issue.
Shelf life and efficient turnover
Fresh truffle has a shelf life of 5 to 10 days, depending on maturity and season. To help our distributors maximize turnover, we maintain close communication and offer tailored advice and delivery adjustments.
We also offer a loyalty system that gives priority access to product during weeks of low harvest to customers who buy regularly.
Traceability and guaranteed origin
We always inform customers of the exact origin (country and region) and harvest date. In most cases, truffles are harvested the same week they are shipped. We can also supply certified truffles, such as organic or guaranteed-origin Spanish black truffles.
